In my opinion, Mark Bowden did an amazing job of
putting together an organized account of what I would consider the most
chaotic of situations. My personal input to the writing of the book was
zero. Mark and I never spoke with each other until September 2003. All in
all, the book is very well done, and probably about 90 percent accurate. -

"Terrifyingly real... Mark Bowden shoves you into
the middle of this fierce battle and has you fighting for your life." -
Major David Stockwell, U.S. Army
"Mark Bowden has captured the heroism, honor, and
honor of the battle of Mogadishu for both Americans and Somalis." - U.S.
Ambassador Robert Oakley (Ret.)

In my opinion, Director Ridley Scott and Producer
Jerry Bruckheimer did a superb job of portraying the complex reality of
combat. The reality of a mission changing quickly causing soldiers to
literally fight for their lives. The accuracy of the movie is about 75
percent. - COL Danny McKnight, U.S. Army (Ret.)
"Ridley Scott's uncompromising vision is awesome."
